In spite of the fact that I know that farming is a difficult, dirty, and sometimes dangerous way to make a living, none of that can take away from the feeling of joy that I get from seeing a freshly plowed field in spring, with a rich green forest around them.
This is the conservation farm on route 2a, right across from the entrance to Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts.
Nobody walks there except for me.
I also like the simple layering of the three levels: the sky, the forest, the field, each with its own world of texture and color.
