What got my attention was not just the leaf reversed out of the white line, but the fact that:

The leaf was not sitting ON the line, but had been painted over with the white paint, then disintegrated, so the road showed through.

I like this. Not a moment of joy, but a glimpse of something.

Took at least a year for this to take place and it won’t last forever.
